Lost (2023) Movie Review: Thought-Provoking Thriller



Lost is a recently released Hindi movie that is a gripping, soul-searching thriller with some remarkable performances. The film is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and stars Yami Gautam, Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, and Pia Bajpiee in the lead roles.

The story of Lost revolves around a young man named Ishaan (Tushar Pandey) who disappears without a trace in Kolkata. Vidhi (Yami Gautam), a crime journalist in the city, realizes that there is much more to this story than meets the eye and decides to pursue all possible options, against all odds.

The performances in Lost are all top-notch. Yami Gautam is excellent as the determined and fearless journalist Vidhi. She brings a lot of nuance and depth to the role. Pankaj Kapur is also very good as the police officer who is investigating Ishaan's case. He is ably supported by Rahul Khanna and Pia Bajpiee.


The direction by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is superb. He creates a very atmospheric and suspenseful film. The script by Shyamal Sengupta and Ritesh Shah is also very well-written. It is intelligent, thought-provoking, and keeps the viewer engaged throughout.
