Shehzada (2023) Movie Review: Mass Entertainer with Campy Humor and Action

Shehzada, the recently released Hindi movie starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The film is a masala entertainer that has a bit of everything, from comedy and romance to action and drama.

Kartik Aaryan plays Bantu, a middle-class boy who discovers that he was switched at birth with the son of a billionaire industrialist. He sets out to claim his rightful place in the family, but must also face the challenges of adjusting to his new life and dealing with the people who are trying to stop him.

Kriti Sanon plays Samara, the daughter of the billionaire industrialist. She is a strong and independent woman who is initially attracted to Bantu's charm and wit. However, she soon learns about his true identity and must decide whether to stand by him or not.

The supporting cast of Shehzada also includes some talented actors, such as Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar. They all deliver good performances, but it is Kartik Aaryan who steals the show with his energetic and charismatic performance as Bantu.

Shehzada is a well-made film with good production values. The cinematography, music, and editing are all top-notch. However, the film's biggest strength is its humor. Shehzada is a very funny film with many laugh-out-loud moments. The film's action sequences are also well-choreographed and exciting to watch.

However, Shehzada is not without its flaws. The film's screenplay is predictable and the characters are somewhat underdeveloped. The film also has a few over-the-top moments that may not appeal to all viewers.

Overall, Shehzada is a mass entertainer that is worth watching for its campy humor, action, and Kartik Aaryan's performance. However, don't expect too much in terms of story or character development.

Here is a more detailed analysis of the film's strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths:

  • Kartik Aaryan's energetic and charismatic performance

  • The film's campy humor and action sequences

  • Good production values, including cinematography, music, and editing

Overall, Shehzada is a fun and entertaining film that is worth watching for Kartik Aaryan's performance, the film's humor, and action sequences. However, don't expect too much in terms of story or character development.
